How Can severe Constipation in A Child Be Treated?

My daughter (12 months) experienced constipation when we transitioned her from formula to whole milk. We have since switched to unsweetened almond milk and added plenty of fruits, veggies, and prune juice (1 ounce to milk) to her diet. She is now regular and no longer experiences constipation; however, I am worried that she may be getting too much sugar from the fruit she is eating. Is there a such thing as too much fruit or fiber?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

You can give her lactulose drops for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persists better to consult a paediatrician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
